For the Wednesday game, the Brewers will be going with LHP Wade Miley. This will be our first official look at Miley this year; he’s just finished rehabbing a groin injury.

Following the Monday game, Lorenzo Cain retained the top spot on the Brewers’ stat sheet with 29 hits, 18 runs and 10 RBI. On Tuesday, Cain came up empty 0-for-4.

Over on the Reds’ side, they’re going with RHP Luis Castillo on Wednesday. In his 28.2 innings and 1-3 record this year, Castillo has a 7.85 ERA with 24 Ks and 13 BBs.

Leading the way for the Reds coming out of Monday’s game was Scooter Gennett with 34 hits, 12 runs and 14 RBI. On Tuesday, Eugenio Suarez turned in a homer and three RBI.

The under is 5-0 in the Brewers’ last five Wednesday games and 24-7 in their last 31 during game three of a series. Milwaukee is 2-4 in their last six road games and 2-4 in their last six overall.

Meanwhile, the Reds are 11-27 in their last 38 during game three of a series and 1-4 in their last five Wednesday games. Cincinnati is also 2-5 in Castillo’s last seven home starts and 6-2 in his last eight starts with four days’ rest.

With Miley coming off an injury and Castillo having some mechanics issues as of late, this pitching matchup is something of a conundrum. I’m going to make a gut call and go with Miley here, as he did pretty well in his final rehab start. I’ll take the Brewers for the Wednesday win.
