The Boston Red Sox go on the road to oppose the Texas Rangers in Thursday MLB action.
The Boston Red Sox maintained their grip atop the American League East after slipping by Kansas City 5-4 on Wednesday. Boston starter Drew Pomeranz was charged with three runs on eight hits and two BB over six innings of work.

The Red Sox attack consisted of ten hits and a walk with JD Martinez going 2-4 with a homer and a pair of RBI’s while Mookie Betts went 4-4 with a homer and three runs driven in and three scored. Boston sends David Price to the hill to oppose Texas on Thursday. Price has lost back to back games where he has allowed ten runs on 17 hits over 13.1 innings.
The Texas Rangers left Cleveland licking their wounds following a 12-4 defeat on Wednesday afternoon. Texas starter Matt Moore was hit hard with ten runs scoring on eleven hits and a pair of free passes through four innings of work.
The Rangers offense did their damage on eight hits and a walk with Nomar Mazara, Joey Gallo and Juan Centeno each clubbing solo home runs. The Rangers have tabbed Mike Minor as Thursday’s starter against visiting Boston. Minor comes off of a 6-4 win at Toronto where he allowed four runs on nine hits in six frames.
Boston are 21-7 in their last 28 overall and are 19-7 in their last 26 road games and are 16-6 in their last 22 games on grass. Texas are 6-20 in their last 26 home games and are 11-24 in their last 35 games on grass. Under is 13-6-1 in the last 20 meetings in Texas.
This isn’t a game that really draws much interest from me but the way Price has struggled I’d probably go small on Texas to keep me interested…
