The Cleveland Indians could not build on their doubleheader sweep of Toronto on Thursday as the team dropped a 7-6 decision at the Yankees on Friday. Cleveland starter Josh Tomlin allowed five runs on eight hits over seven frames with Alexi Ogando gave up a pair of runs in an inning.

The Indians totaled ten hits and a base on balls with Jose Ramirez going 3-4 with a homer and two RBI’s while Bradley Zimmer clubbed a three run homer followed by Yan Gomes with a pair of runs.
Trevor Bauer makes his 7th start of the season at he NY Yankees on Saturday. Bauer did not receive a decision in a 7-5 win versus Texas where he gave up a pair of runs and struck out eleven over 6.2 frames.
The New York Yankees opened their series against Cleveland with a big offensive display that overcame a poor night out of the bullpen. New York starter CC Sabathia tossed six scoreless frames before Chasen Shreve allowed four runs without getting an out.
