Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The Blue Jays were held to four hits and a walk with Aledmys Diaz going deep while Teoscar Hernandez smacked a sacrifice fly that scored Curtis Granderson. Toronto has named right hander Aaron Sanchez as the starter at Tampa Bay on Saturday. Sanchez defeated Minnesota 7-5 on the road last time out with four runs scoring on six hits and three BB in six innings.

The Tampa Bay Rays opened their series against Toronto with plenty of offense and pitching in a one sided win. Tampa Bay starter allowed a run over two innings but Ryan Yarbrough tossed a one hitter over five scoreless frames to pick up the win.

The Rays banged out ten hits and walked four times with Brad Miller slugging a two run bomb while Johnny Field smacked a pair of long balls. Jake Faria draws Saturday’s start from Tampa Bay in game two of the series versus visiting Toronto. Faria comes off of a 3-2 win at Detroit where he tossed eight shutout frames.

Over is 7-1-1 in Toronto last 9 overall and under is 25-7-3 in Toronto last 35 Saturday games and under is 20-6 in Sanchez’s last 26 road starts. Over is 8-1 in Tampa Bay last 9 during game 2 of a series and over is 7-1 in Tampa Bay last 8 on astroturf and over is 7-1 in Tampa Bay last 8 home games. The Blue Jays look like a very tough be right now but I believe Sanchez can get the team back in the win column…
