The Toronto Blue Jays and Tampa Bay Rays continue their series at Tropicana Feld in an AL East MLB tilt.
The Toronto Blue Jays were looking to rebound from a pair of losses in a Thursday doubleheader versus Cleveland but struggled at the plate and on the mound in a 6-2 loss at Tampa Bay. Toronto starter JA Happ allowed three runs over 5.2 innings before two relievers gave up three runs.

The Blue Jays were held to four hits and a walk with Aledmys Diaz going deep while Teoscar Hernandez smacked a sacrifice fly that scored Curtis Granderson. Toronto has named right hander Aaron Sanchez as the starter at Tampa Bay on Saturday. Sanchez defeated Minnesota 7-5 on the road last time out with four runs scoring on six hits and three BB in six innings.
