Sunday MLB action brings us to the AL Central where the Chicago White Sox host the Minnesota Twins.

The Minnesota Twins  rode plenty of early scoring and solid pitching to an 8-3 win at the Chicago White Sox. Minnesota starter Lance Lynn picked up the win with two runs plated on eight hits over six frames.

The Twins pounded out eleven hits and walked eight times with Eddie Rosario going 4-5 with a homer and five runs knocked in while Joe Mauer, Max Kepler and Eduardo Escobar scoring two times each.

Kyle Gibson toes the rubber at the Chicago White Sox on Sunday afternoon. Gibson did not get a decision in a 7-4 defeat at Toronto with a pair of runs allowed over five innings pitched.

The Chicago White Sox fell behind early and didn’t have the firepower to make a comeback against visiting Minnesota on Saturday night. Chicago starter Hector Santiago was charged with alight runs through 3.1 innings to absorb the loss.

The White Sox totaled eleven hits and three free passes with Tim Anderson clubbing a pair of solo homers with three runs. Veteran right hander James Shields gets the starting assignment versus Minnesota. Shields comes in off of a 3-2 loss (ND) against St. Louis with a run given up on two hits over six frames.

Over is 10-1 in Minnesota last 11 road games and Minnesota are 1-8 in their last 9 road games and Minnesota are 3-12 in their last 15 overall. Chicago  are 3-11 in their last 14 home games and  are 7-21 in their last 28 overall and  are 7-19 in their last 26 games on grass. Minnesota are 7-3 in Gibson’s last 10 starts vs. Chicago.

I think Gibson has the edge on the mound and has had success in this matchup which has me looking at the Twins…
