The Royals racked up 20 hits with Jorge Soler, Mike Moustakas, Salvador Perez and Alex Gordon combining for eleven hits including five homers, 13 RBI’s and seven runs with Moustakas going deep twice.
Kansas City has named Eric Skoglund as Wednesday’s starter at Camden Yards. Skoglund comes off of a 10-6 win (ND) versus Detroit with five runs scoring on eight hits and three BB in 4.2 frames.
The Baltimore Orioles futility reached another level with the team falling behind 10-0 in the first on the way to their 27th loss in a 15-7 defeat to the Royals. Baltimore starter Dylan Bundy was absolutely crushed with seven runs scoring on five hits including four homers and two BB without recording an out before Mike Wright Jr. and Pedro Araujo gave up another eight runs.
The Orioles totaled 14 hits and walked four times with Chris Davis and Caleb Joseph smacking solo homers while Danny Valencia went deep and drove in two. Right hander Andrew Cashner toes the rubber against visiting Kansas City on Wednesday. Cashner did not get a decision in a 6-4 victory at Oakland with four runs scoring over 4.2 innings.
