The Miami Marlins and the Chicago Cubs duke it out in the finale of their three game set from Wrigley Field in MLB action on Wednesday afternoon.

The Miami Marlins will be looking to avoid the sweep after dropping the first two games of the set, including a 4-3 loss in game two on Tuesday. Justin Bour led the Fish, going 1 for 2 with a homer and two RBIs, while Derek Dietrich added a double and an RBI to round out the scoring for Miami in the loss. Brian Anderson added a double, going 2 for 4, while Starlin Castro and Lewis Brandon each contributed a base hit in the losing effort. Jose Urena gave up three runs on seven hits while striking out six over 5.1 innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Kyle Barraclough took the loss, falling to 0-2 this season. Wei-Yin Chen will start the finale and is 1-1 with a 4.82 ERA and 5 strikeouts this season. In his career, Chen is 0-0 with a 2.57 ERA and 7 strikeouts against the Cubs.

The Chicago Cubs will look to keep rolling and complete the sweep after winning the first two games of the set, including their victory on Tuesday. Victor Caratini and David Bote each had two RBIs, with Bote adding a pinch-hit double. Kyle Schwarber added a double of his own, while Anthony Rizzo went 2 for 4 and Tommy La Stella, Ian Haps and Javier Baez each added base hits as well in the win. Jen-Ho Tseng gave up three runs in two innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Carl Edwards Jr. struck out three in the 8th for the win to improve to 1-0, while Brandon Morrow closed out the 9th for his 8th save of the season. Jose Quintana will start game three and is 3-2 with a 4.99 ERA and 27 strikeouts this season. In his career, Quintana is 0-1 with a 9.00 ERA and 2 strikeouts against Miami.

Miami is 2-8 in their last 10 games against the NL Central and 5-1 in Chen’s last 6 starts against the NL Central while the under is 10-4 in their last 14 games overall. Chicago is 9-1 in Quintana’s last 10 home starts and 7-2 in their last 9 home games while the under is 9-3 in their last 12 games overall. Miami is 1-8 in the last 9 meetings between these two teams in Chicago.

The plus money with Miami is tempting, considering that The Cubs may be a bit overpriced given their recent run. However, Chen looked shaky in his last outing and the Cubs have owned the first two games of the set, looking like the better team in both. Add in the fact that Quintana has been money at home for the Cubs dating back to last season and I think you have to lay the juice with Chicago here, even if the price tag isn’t pretty.
