The Rogers Centre and the Toronto Blue Jays continue their MLB series with the Seattle Mariners.
The Seattle Mariners had everything going their way Tuesday in a 5-0 win at Toronto. Seattle starter James Paxton was the star of the show with a complete game no hitter where he allowed three walks and recorded seven strikeouts.

The Mariners racked up 12 hits and walked three times with Mike Zunino cracking a two run homer while Robinson Cano drove in a run and scored. Wade LeBlanc makes his second straight start Wednesday against the Blue Jays. LeBlanc did not receive a decision in a 4-1 win versus Oakland where he tossed four scoreless innings.
The Toronto Blue Jays need to regroup after Tuesday’s defeat to visiting Seattle where nothing went favorably. Toronto starter Marcus Stroman continued to struggle with all five runs plated on nine hits and a pair of free passes over five frames before five relievers put up zeros.
The Blue Jays were held without a hit but and did not threaten with just three walks accounting for their offense. Left hander Jaime Garcia will be on the mound to oppose the Mariners on Wednesday. Garcia has generally been hit hard this season with a 2-2 record and 6.60 ERA over six starts.
Over is 15-5-2 in Seattle last 22 road games and Seattle are 2-6 in their last 8 games on astroturf and over is 7-3 in Seattle last 10 overall. Toronto are 1-9 in their last 10 Wednesday games and over is 7-2-3 in Toronto last 12 overall and Toronto are 2-6 in their last 8 games on astroturf. Seattle are 20-41 in the last 61 meetings in Toronto.
I have to say I don’t know what to expect from LeBlanc but if Garcia throws as he has I prefer the Mariners…
