The Brewers mustered five hits and walked once with Jesus Aguilar and Travis Shaw recording RBI’s while Lorenzo Cain and Christian Yelich scored. Jhoulys Chacin toes the rubber at Coors Field Thursday looking for back to back wins. Chacin comes off of a 5-3 win versus Pittsburgh with a run plated on three hits and two BB in six innings of work.
The Colorado Rockies look to bounce back from an 8-0 defeat at the hands of the LA Angels in the series finale’ on Wednesday afternoon. Colorado struggled on the mound and at the plate with starter Tyler Anderson allowing four runs on six hits including a pair of homers over five frames while three relievers combined to give up four runs over four innings.
The dangerous Rockies attack was limited to eight hits and a pair of bases on balls with 14 strikeouts. David Dahl, Nolan Arenado and Carlos Gonzalez each had a double and single but the rest of the team mustered only two hits.
German Marquez faces the visiting Brewers on Thursday looking for his third straight quality start. Marquez threw the ball well in an 8-7 victory at the Mets with two runs allowed on six hits over six frames.
