The Giants mustered five hits and a base on balls with Alen Hanson smacking a two run bomb in the first while Gregor Polanco connected on his first long ball I n the opening frame.

San Francisco sends rookie Andrew Suarez to the bump for his 4th start of 2018 versus Pittsburgh. Suarez comes off his first career win by a 4-3 count at Atlanta with an unearned run allowed over 5.1 frames.

The Pittsburgh Pirates look to keep the momentum going after knocking off the White Sox 6-5 on Wednesday. Pittsburgh starter Trevor Williams gave up four runs over five frames for a ND with Richard Rodriguez allowing an 8th inning run yet still picking up the win.

The Pirates totaled seven hits and a pair of bases on balls with Jordy Mercer and Gregory Polanco connecting on solo jacks. Colin Moran gave the Buccos a two run bomb while Elias Diaz doubled in a pair and scored.
