The Los Angeles Dodgers are getting desperate for a victory after losing five of their last six games. The Dodgers have allowed 13 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in 11 of their last 16 games. The Los Angeles Dodgers have lost 12 of their last 14 games when allowing at least three runs. Offensively, Cody Bellinger leads the Dodgers with 39 hits and 17 RBI while Chris Taylor and Matt Kemp have combined for 73 hits and 31 RBI. Ross Stripling gets the ball, and he is 0-1 with a 1.93 ERA and 24 strikeouts this season. This will be Stripling’s second career game against the Reds.
The Reds are 17-35 in their last 52 during game 3 of a series, 6-21 in their last 27 Saturday games and 7-21 in Baileys last 28 starts. The Dodgers are 24-10 in their last 34 Saturday games, 117-55 in their last 172 home games and 2-7 in Striplings last 9 starts. The Reds are 10-29 in the last 39 meetings in Los Angeles, 26-56 in the last 82 meetings and the over is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings.
The Cincinnati Reds are going to get back to losing eventually, as this team simply isn't good. Bailey has also been one of the worst pitchers in baseball, allowing no less than three runs in six of his last seven starts and allowing 11 runs in his last nine innings. He's just been awful. With that said, the Los Angeles Dodgers are the worst team in baseball to back given their big prices you have to lay, and you're in a major hole if you've been backing this team with any consistency. Are you really going to lay this juice with the Dodgers right now? I have no choice but to take the Reds if I'm going to play this game.
