The Red Sox mustered six hits and walked four times with Xander Bogaerts smacking his 4th home while JD Martinez also recorded an RBI. Boston sends left hander David Price to the hill against Toronto on Saturday. Price has dropped three straight decisions after an 11-5 loss at Texas with nine runs plated on six hits and a pair of BB over 3.2 frames.

The Toronto Blue Jays rode a strong performance out of the bullpen in downing Boston in extra innings on Friday. Toronto starter Aaron Sanchez was charged with all three runs over 4.2 frames before five relievers allowed one hit over 7.1 innings.

The Blue Jays totaled eight hits and three bases on balls with Luke Maile going deep twice with four RBI’s including a two run walk off homer in the 12th. Marco Estrada draws Saturday’s start against the visiting Red Sox. Estrada received a no decision last time out in a 2-1 win at Tampa Bay where he tossed six scoreless innings with four hits and four BB allowed.

Boston  are 25-10 in their last 35 overall and  are 14-6 in their last 20 road games and  are 37-18 in their last 55 games on astroturf. Toronto  are 2-5 in their last 7 home games and under is 4-1-2 in Blue Jays last 7 vs. American League East. Boston  are 21-8 in the last 29 meetings in Toronto and are 14-6 in the last 20 meetings.

I first say I don’t like the matchup on the mound so I’m not interested in this one but I’ll throw this out there…
