The Blue Jays banged out ten hits and walked five times with Justin Smoak smacking a two run double and scoring while Russell Martin went 3-4 and knocked in a run.

Left hander Jaime Garcia is gunning for his third win when he opposes the Mets Tuesday. Garcia did no get a decision in a 5-2 win versus Seattle with both runs scoring over five innings.

The New York Mets were red hot to begin the 2018 campaign but are barely over .500 after dropping eight of ten. New York squandered a late lead in falling at Philadelphia on Sunday in a 4-2 defeat. Starter Jacob deGrom managed just one inning with three walks issued. Paul Sewald took the loss with three runs allowed to fall to 0-3.

The Mets pounded out eleven hits and three bases on balls with Yoenis Cespedes cracking his 8th homer while Asdrubal Cabrera going 2-4 and driving in Brandon Nimmo. The NY Mets have named Noah Syndergaard as Tuesday’s starter against visiting Toronto.
