Interleague MLB action pits the Milwaukee Brewers against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field on Friday.
The Milwaukee Brewers have played well the last week with wins in three of four after upending Arizona 8-2 on the road on Wednesday. Milwaukee rode an early scoring burst and solid work on the mound with starter Brandon Woodruff allowing two first inning runs before settling down to toss five frames and improve to 2-0.

The Brewers totaled ten hits and walked twice with Tyler Saladino, Christian Yelich, Travis Shaw and Domingo Santana all going deep and combining for seven RBI’s.
The Brewers send Brent Suter to the hill for the series opener at Minnesota on Friday. Suter comes off of a 4-0 defeat at Colorado with all four runs plated on seven hits including a pair of long balls over five frames.
The Minnesota Twins were red hot but have tailed off a bit this week with losses in three of four following a 7-5 defeat versus St. Louis. The Minnesota pitching struggled with starter Lance Lynn allowing three runs on four hits and four BB over three innings while three relievers gave up a combined four runs.
The Twins banged out ten hits and walked five times with Logan Morrison going 2-3 with a homer and two RBI’s. Joe Mauer gave Minnesota two hits and an RBI while Eddie Rosario went 3-4 and scored.
Kyle Gibson toes the rubber against the visiting Milwaukee Brewers on Friday night. Gibson comes off of a 5-3 win (ND) at the LA Angels where he gave up a par of runs through six innings.
Milwaukee are 8-2 in their last 10 road games and under is 15-4-2 in Milwaukee last 21 interleague games and under is 14-6-2 in Milwaukee last 22 on grass. Over is 13-3-2 in Minnesota last 18 Friday games and Minnesota are 15-4 in their last 19 interleague games and Minnesota are 10-4 in their last 14 Friday games. Over is 19-9-5 in the last 33 meetings.
I don’t make pitching the only factor when capping a game but Suter has been a five inning guy and Gibson has good numbers if he isn’t wild…
