The Arizona Diamondbacks and the Milwaukee Brewers meet in game one of their three game set from Miller Park in MLB action on Monday.

The Arizona Diamondbacks are in dire need of a win after being swept by the New York Mets, losing four straight and 10 of their last 11 games following a 4-1 loss in their series finale on Sunday. Milwaukee Brewers vs. Arizona Diamondbacks - 5/21/18 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Jeffrey Becker-USA TODAY Sports

The Milwaukee Brewers will look to rebound after failing to complete the sweep of the Twins, dropping their series finale by a final score of 3-1 on Sunday. Jesus Aguilar’s solo home run was the lone run on the board for the Brew Crew in the loss, with Aguilar going 2 for 4 at the dish. Tyler Saladino also went 2 for 4, while Lorenzo Cain, Hernan Perez and Jett Bandy each contributed base hits as well in the loss. Junior Guerra went 4.1 innings, giving up one run on four hits while striking out four, not factoring in the decision. Taylor Williams took the loss, falling to 0-2 this season with the loss. Chase Anderson will start the series opener and is 3-3 with a 3.97 ERA and 30 strikeouts this season. In his career, Anderson is 2-1 with a 1.88 ERA and 29 strikeouts against Arizona.

Arizona is 1-10 in their last 11 games overall and 7-3 in Greinke’s last 10 starts against the NL Central while the over is 12-4 in their last 16 road games. Milwaukee is 9-4 in Anderson’s last 13 starts and 10-2 in their last 12 games against the NL West while the over is 5-0 in their last 5 Monday games. The over is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings between these two teams.

Normally, I’m the first to make a case for, and jump on a low line with an ace pitcher like Greinke. However, I’m not sure how anybody could lay any sort of juice with the D-Backs in their current form. Arizona has been brutal lately, and while their lone win in their losing stretch came with Greinke on the mound, they’re still not worth laying one red cent on. Milwaukee, despite losing their series finale against Minnesota, is heads and shoulders playing better baseball as of late, and Anderson has done quite well against his former team, posting a career ERA under two. All things considered, I think Milwaukee and the low line should be the play in this one on Monday.
