The St. Louis Cardinals take the Field at Miller Park  to face the Milwaukee Brewers in in an NL Central MLB matchup.

The St. Louis Cardinals rode some early scoring and an outstanding effort on the mound to a 6-1 victory at Miller Park Tuesday. St. Louis starter Michael Wacha allowed the lone run on two hits and four BB in 6.2 frames to get the win.

The Cardinals banged out ten hits and walked three times with Harrison Bader and Francisco Pena smacking solo jacks. Matt Carpenter clubbed a two run homer while Jedd Gyorko gave St. Louis a pair of  RBI’s.

St. Louis sends Alex Reyes to the his 2018 debut after missing last season because of Tommy John surgery. In 12 appearances in 2016, (five starts) Reyes went 1-1 with a 1.57 ERA.

The Milwaukee Brewers struggled on the mound and at the plate in Tuesday night’s loss to visiting St. Louis. Milwaukee starter Zach Davies was charged with five runs on eight hits and three bases on balls through five innings to absorb the loss.

The Brewers managed three hits and four walks with pinch hitter Jonathan Villar ripping a run scoring double that plated Manny Pina. Milwaukee has tabbed right hander Junior Guerra as Wednesday’s starter versus St.. Louis. Guerra comes off of a 4-3 win (ND) against the Mets with a pair of runs allowed on five hits including two homers over six frames.
