Over at Target Field on Friday, the Cleveland Indians and the Minnesota Twins will be meeting up to continue their MLB series.
In the Thursday opener, we had a wild game as the Twins came back from an 8-0 deficit to tie it up. Cleveland was ultimately able to hold on and get the 9-8 win though.

For Friday’s game, the Indians will be going with RHP Carlos Carrasco. In his 72.1 innings and 6-3 record this year, Carrasco has a 3.98 ERA with 71 Ks and 16 BBs.
Francisco Lindor is the top Indians hitter this year, entering this set with 67 hits, 41 runs, 12 homers and 30 RBI. On Thursday, Lindor ripped two homers with three runs and four RBI.
Over on the Twins’ side, they’re going with Jose Berrios in the start on Friday. In his 68.2 innings and 3.67 ERA this year, Berrios has a 3.67 ERA with 67 Ks and 13 BBs.
Eddie Rosario leads the Twins in hitting this season, and he came into this series on 62 hits, 31 runs and 32 RBI. On Thursday, Rosario had two hits, a run and an RBI.
The Indians are 5-2 in their last seven in game two of a series and 49-22 in their last 71 Friday games. Cleveland is also 10-2 in Carrasco’s last 12 Friday starts and 35-17 in Carrasco’s last 52 starts.
Meanwhile, the Twins are 1-4 in their last five in game two of a series and 5-1 in Berrios’ last six starts with four days’ rest. Minnesota is also 13-3 in Barrios’ last 16 home starts and 7-15 in his last 22 starts versus a team with a winning record.
After a string of three straight quality starts, Carrasco put up five earned on five hits in 5.2 innings against Houston but still got the win. As for Berrios, he’s sitting on three straight quality starts of his own, and has gone at least 7.1 innings in each. I’m going with the Twins here.
