The Cleveland Indians and the Minnesota Twins meet in game three of their four game AL Central division set in MLB action from Target Field on Saturday.

The Cleveland Indians will look to rebound after having their six game winning streak snapped with a 7-4 loss in game two on Friday. Edwin Incarnation led the Tribe with a home run and two RBIs, while Michael Brantley and Francisco Lindor each had an RBI despite both going hitless. Greg Allen added a triple and a double, while Jose Ramirez added a two-bagger as well. Melky Cabrera and Yan Gomes each had a base knock as well to round out the offense for Cleveland in the losing effort. Carlos Carrasco took the loss, falling to 6-4 this season after giving up six runs on seven hits over just 3.2 innings of work. Trevor Bauer will start game three and is 4-3 with a 2.61 ERA and 86 strikeouts this season. In his career, Bauer is 4-6 with a 4.85 ERA and 87 strikeouts against Minnesota.

Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

The Minnesota Twins will look to build some steam after just their second win in their last nine games following their victory on Friday. Eduardo Escobar led the Twins with four RBIs, going 2 for 4 with a pair of home runs. Eddie Rosario, Miguel Sano and Ryan LaMarre each had an RBI with Sano and LaMarre each adding a double as well. Brian Dozier went 2 for 5 with a double and Bobby Wilson had a two-bagger of his own while Robbie Grossman had a base hit as well in the victory. Jose Berrios got the win to improve to 6-5 this season after giving up all four runs on five hits while striking out seven over six innings of work. Fernando Rodney closed out the 9th for his 12th save of the season. Lance Lynn will start game three and is 3-4 with a 5.94 ERA and 50 strikeouts this season. In his career, Lynn is 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 9 strikeouts against Cleveland.

Cleveland is 44-11 in their last 55 games against a team with a losing record and 5-2 in Bauer’s last 7 starts while the over is 16-4-2 in their last 22 games against a right-handed starter. Minnesota is 1-5 in Lynn’s last 6 starts against a team with a winning record and 2-7 in their last 9 games overall while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 division matchups. Cleveland is 16-5 in the last 21 meetings between these two teams in Minnesota and 4-1 in Bauer’s last 5 starts against the Twins.

Let’s face it, Lynn has had a couple decent starts in a row, but Lynn is also a pitcher that’s been roughed up a lot this season, more often than not I’d be willing to guess. Bauer gave up four runs in his last start, but the Tribe still won that game and Bauer did throw back-to-back shutouts before that. All in all, we are getting a good price with Bauer and Cleveland to fade Lynn and the Twins so when that’s the case, you have to roll with it and I will on Saturday.
