The Rockies racked up eight hits and walked three times with Ian Desmond cracking a two run bomb and scoring twice while Tony Wolters and Gerardo Parra had two hits each an knocked in a pair.

Colorado gives Thursday’s starting assignment to Tyler Anderson who faces Cincinnati for the second time in 2018. Anderson  received a ND in an 11-8 loss to the Dodgers last time out with five runs given up in a five inning stint.

The Cincinnati Reds struggled on the mound and squandered several opportunities at the plate in Wednesday’s defeat. Cincinnati starter Sal Romano was hit hard with  five runs given up on six hits and a BB through five frames.

The Reds totaled eleven hits and walked five times with Scooter Gennett doubling in two and scoring while Jose Peraza recorded an RBI. The Reds have named Tyler Mahle as Thursday’s series ending starter against Colorado. Mahle will be gunning for back to back wins after downing San Diego 7-2 with five shutout frames.
