The Boston Red Sox look for a bounce back performance after splitting their last eight games. The Red Sox have scored nine runs in their last three games and five or more runs in seven of their last 11 games. The Boston Red Sox have won 13 straight games when scoring more than three runs. J.D. Martinez leads the Red Sox with 72 hits and 52 RBI while Andrew Benintendi and Mookie Betts have combined for 136 hits and 81 RBI. David Price gets the ball, and he is 6-4 with a 4.08 ERA and 66 strikeouts this season. Price is 5-5 with a 3.41 ERA and 86 strikeouts in his career against the White Sox.
The White Sox are 6-13 in their last 19 vs. American League East, 20-47 in their last 67 road games and 0-4 in Rodons last 4 road starts. The Red Sox are 12-2 in their last 14 Saturday games, 4-1 in their last 5 during game 2 of a series and 5-0 in Prices last 5 starts. The White Sox are 1-5 in the last 6 meetings in Boston, 1-6 in the last 7 meetings and the under is 4-1 in the last 5 meetings.
We hit on the Chicago White Sox last night as monster underdogs, but this game is different, as Rodon hasn't pitched since last season and wasn't good the last time we saw him. Price has looked like the old Price recently, allowing three or less runs in each of his last five starts and has seven or more strikeouts in three of his last four starts. It's also unlikly that the Red Sox offense lays another egg, as this club has been explosive all year with the bats. I'll take the Red Sox here and the RL to add value to the bet.
