Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

For Saturday’s game, the Mariners will be bringing out RHP Felix Hernandez. In his 74.1 innings and 6-4 record this year, Hernandez has a 5.33 ERA with 62 Ks and 29 BBs.

Tops in hitting for the Mariners this year is Jean Segura with 85 hits, 46 runs and 39 RBI entering game two. On Friday, Segura had a hit, a run and an RBI.

Over on the Rays’ side, they’re going with Blake Snell in the Saturday game. Over 76.1 innings and a 7-3 record this year, Snell has a 2.36 ERA with 88 Ks and 23 BBs.

Tampa’s top bat this season is CJ Cron, who had 61 hits, 33 runs and 33 RBI heading into game two. In the Friday matchup, Cron had a two-run homer.

The Mariners are 4-0 in the last four Saturday games and 5-1 in Hernandez’s last six Saturday starts. Seattle is also 8-2 in Hernandez’s last 10 road starts and 4-1 in hi last five starts with five days’ rest.

Meanwhile, the Rays are 6-1 in their last seven in game three of a series and 6-2 in their last eight Saturday games. Tampa is also 6-2 in Snell’s last eight home starts and 4-1 in his last five starts with five days’ rest.

Hernandez has been choppy this year to say the least, but he did have a nice outing versus the Rays his last time up, giving up one earned in 8.0 innings. Snell, meanwhile, has been solid lately with zero earned over his last three starts in a span of 17.2 innings. I’m going to go with Snell and the Rays here to get away with a victory. Should be a fun game to watch.
