The Chicago White Sox and the Boston Red Sox square off in the rubber match of their three game set from Fenway Park in MLB action on Sunday.

The Chicago White Sox will look to bounce back after dropping game two on Saturday by a final score of 4-2. Jose Abreu and Kevan Smith each had an RBI to account for the White Sox damage on the scoreboard, with Abreu adding a double while Smith went 2  for 4 at the plate. Yolmer Sanchez added a pinch hit triple while Tim Anderson and Jose Rondon each added a base knock as well to cap off the offense for Chicago in the loss. Carlos Rodon took the loss after giving up all four runs, two earned, on six hits while striking out seven over five innings of work. Reynaldo Lopez will start game three and is 1-4 with a 3.42 ERA and 48 strikeouts this season. This will be Lopez’s first career start against Boston.

Boston Red Sox vs. Chicago White Sox - 6/10/18 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Winslow Townson-USA TODAY Sports

The Boston Red Sox will look to win the set after evening up the series at one win apiece with their victory on Saturday. J.D. Martinez led the BoSox with two RBIs on a two run homer, while Jackie Bradley Jr. added a solo shot as well. Christian Vazquez went 2 for 4 while Xander Bogaerts, Eduardo Nunez and Rafael Devers each chipped in base hits as well in the win. David Price got the win to improve to 7-4 this season giving up both runs on five hits while striking out six over six innings of work. Craig Kimberly struck out a pair in the 9th for his 20th save of the year. Rick Porcello will start game three and is 8-2 with a 3.59 ERA and 75 strikeouts this season. In his career, Porcello is 11-8 with a 4.35 ERA and 86 strikeouts against the White Sox.

Chicago is 0-4 in Lopez’s last 4 road starts and 3-8 in their last 11 games against a right-handed starter while the under is 7-0-1 in their last 8 games overall. Boston is 5-1 in Porcello’s last 6 home starts and 9-3 in their last 12 home games while the under is 5-0 in their last 5 games overall. Chicago is 1-7 in the last 8 meetings between these two teams and 1-6 in the last 7 meetings in Boston.

The White Sox looked for a second like they were going to shock everyone for a 2nd straight day, but things sort of fell apart as the game went on. It wasn’t a complete disaster, but a loss is still a loss and the Red Sox covered the run line which is mostly what we care about in this line of work. Lopez has been shaky this season, and while his ERA isn’t terrible, he doesn’t get much run support which is why his record is what it is. Porcello is starting to look like the Porcello of old, and I think this a prime spot to take Boston on the run line again as I see Boston taking this one much easier than Saturday’s affair.
