The Milwaukee Brewers and the Philadelphia Phillies meet in the finale of their three game set from Citizens’ Bank Park in MLB action on Sunday.

The Milwaukee Brewers will look to complete the sweep after racking up 12 runs for the second consecutive outing, taking down the Phillies in game two by a final score of 12-3 on Saturday. Ji-Man Choi led Milwaukee with four RBIs, coming on a pinch-hit grand slam. Jesus Aguilar added three RBIs with a two run homer and a double, while Jonathan Villar added a two run shot of his own. Erik Kratz had a double and an RBI while Hernan Perez and Ryan Braun each added runs as well to cap off Milwaukee’s scoring in the win with Braun adding a triple. Christian Yelich went 3 for 5 at the dish, while Lorenzo Cain and Orlando Arcia each contributed base hits of their own in the victory. Brent Suter got the win to improve to 6-4 this season after giving up all three runs on four hits while striking out five over five innings of work. Brandon Woodruff will start game three and is 2-0 with a 6.05 ERA and 20 strikeouts this season. This will be Woodruff’s first career start against Philadelphia.

The Philadelphia Phillies will look to salvage a win and avoid the sweep after being blown out for the second straight day on Saturday. Rhys Hoskins three run home run in the 3rd accounted for all of Philadelphia’s scoring in the losing effort. Carlos Santana added a double, while Cesar Hernandez, Scott Kingery and Jorge Alfaro each chipped in base knocks as well in the loss. Jake Arrieta took the loss, falling to 5-4 this season after giving up five runs, four earned, on four hits while walking three and striking out four over 5.1 innings of work. Zach Eflin will start the finale and is 2-2 with a 3.74 ERA and 31 strikeouts this season. This will be Eflin’s first career start against Milwaukee.

Milwaukee is 5-0 in Woodruff’s last 5 road starts and 5-0 in their last 5 games against the NL East while the under is 33-16-2 in their last 51 Sunday games. Philadelphia is 4-11 in Eflin’s last 15 starts and 1-7 in their last 8 games overall while the over is 5-1 in Eflin’s last 6 home starts. Mailwaukee is 12-4 in the last 16 meetings between these two teams in Philadelphia.

Eflin’s had the better run between the two starters, but Woodruff hasn’t thrown a ton this year and has an inflated ERA thanks to one bad start. Eflin had a solid outing in his last start, but gave up five runs in back-to-back starts prior to that. I would’ve given the Phillies the nod if Milwaukee hadn’t been crushing the ball in this series, so with that said I’ll go with the Brewers to complete the sweep on Sunday.
