Chicago White Sox vs. Cleveland Indians - 6/11/18 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Cleveland will be bringing out RHP Carlos Carrasco on Monday. In his 83.0 innings and 7-4 record this year, Carrasco has a 4.23 ERA with 83 Ks and 20 BBs.

The Indians’ leading hitter this year is Francisco Lindor with 75 hits, 48 runs, 14 homers and 35 RBI entering the week. On Sunday, Lindor put up three hits and two runs.

Over on the White Sox’ side, they just finished a series versus the Red Sox. Chicago split the first pair of games, then on Sunday the White Sox won 5-2.

Chicago is going with Lucas Giolito on Monday. Over his 61.0 innings and 4-6 record this year, Giolito has a 7.08 ERA with 31 Ks and 39 BBs.

Jose Abreu leads the Sox’ hitters this year with 71 hits, 32 runs, 10 homers and 37 RBI. In the Sunday game, Abreu had a double, two runs and an RBI.

The Indians are 4-0 in their last four in game one of a series and 21-6 in the last 27 Monday games. Cleveland is also 5-1 in Carrasco’s last six Monday starts and 35-17 in his last 52 starts.

Meanwhile, the Sox are 6-14 in their last 20 in game one of a series and 1-5 in their last six Monday games. Chicago is also 1-4 in Giolito’s last five home starts and 1-4 in his last five starts in game one of a series.

Carrasco had a tough couple of games with 11 earned in 9.1 innings over two starts, but calmed down against the Brewers with one earned in 7.0 innings on eight hits. As for Giolito, he put up 12 earned in 7.1 innings over two starts but was solid in Minnesota with two earned in 6.0 innings. This game could get out of hand pretty easily, but all in all I think the Indians have it here.
