The Texas Rangers and the Los Angeles Dodgers square off in game one of a mini two game set from Dodger Stadium in MLB action on Tuesday.

The Texas Rangers will be looking for a win to snap a four game losing streak after being swept by Houston, including an 8-7 loss in the series finale on Sunday. Shin-Soo Choo and Carlos Perez each had two RBIs, while Adrian Beltre and Ronald Guzman each had an RBI as well to round out the scoring for Texas in the loss. Nomar Mazara and Isiah Kiner-Falefa each had two hits with a double, while Delino DeShields went 3 for 5 and Rougned Odor added two hits as well in the losing effort. Matt Moore gave up six runs, five earned, on nine hits over three innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Keone Kela took the loss, falling to 3-3 this season. Bartolo Colon will start game one and is 3-3 with a 4.16 ERA and 45 strikeouts this season. In his career, Colon is 2-6 with a 5.28 ERA and 36 strikeouts against the Dodgers.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Texas Rangers - 6/12/18 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Gary A. Vasquez-USA TODAY Sports

The Los Angeles Dodgers will look to keep their momentum going after winning another series, taking their series finale against Atlanta on Sunday by a final score of 7-2. Max Muncy, Enrique Hernandez and Logan Forsythe each had two RBIs and a home run with Forsythe going 2 for 4 with a double as well, while Matt Kemp added an RBI as well to round out the scoring for the Dodgers in the win. Cody Bellinger added a double as well, while Chris Taylor, Austin Barnes and starting pitcher Ross Stripling each had a base hit as well to cap off the Dodger offense in the win. Ross Stripling got the win to improve to 5-1 this season after giving up both runs on four hits while striking out six over 6.2 innings of work. Caleb Ferguson will start game one and is 0-0 with a 21.60 ERA and 3 strikeouts this season. This will be Ferguson's first career start against Texas.

Texas is 0-4 in their last 4 games overall and 14-5 in their last 19 interleague games while the under is 4-0 in their last 4 road games. Los Angeles is 12-3 in their last 15 interleague home games and 7-2 in their last 9 games overall while the over is 5-1-1 in their last 7 home games. The under is 7-1 in the last 8 meetings between these two teams.

I’m tempted to back Texas here, as L.A.’s rotation is ravaged with injuries right now. However, my concern with Colon is that while he’s pitching well, he always has the possiblity of showing his age on the mound and throwing in a clunker here and there. I also don't think Ferguson is the answer for the Dodgers as he has given up four runs in just 1.2 innings in his major league debut. I'll side with the over here as this total is much lower than I expected, and I can see this one hitting double digits easily.
