The Minnesota Twins and the Cleveland Indians meet in game two of their three game AL Central division set in MLB action on Saturday.

The Minnesota Twins will look to win the series and push for the sweep on Sunday after taking game one by a final score of 6-3 on Friday. Brian Dozier led the Twins with three RBIs, going 1 for 4 with a home run, while Eddie Rosario went 2 for 4 with a solo home run and a double. Eduardo Escobar, Logan Morrison and Ehire Adrianza each contributed base knocks as well as the Twins put up just six hits as a team in the win. Kyle Gibson got the win to improve to 2-4 this season after giving up one run on three hits while walking four and striking out three over seven innings of work. Fernando Rodney retired the final batter in the 9th for his 15th save of the year. Fernando Romero will start game two and is 3-2 with a 3.92 ERA and 39 strikeouts this season. This will be Romero’s first career starts against Cleveland.

Cleveland Indians vs. Minnesota Twins - 6/16/18 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

The Cleveland Indians will look to bounce back after starting the series with a loss on Friday. Yan Gomes led the Tribe with two RBIs, going 2 for 4 with a home run, while Erik Gonzalez went 1 for 4 with an RBI and a double to round out Cleveland’s scoring in the loss. Jose Ramirez, Lonnie Chisenhall, Tyler Naquin and Rajai Davis each contributed base hits as well in the losing effort. Corey Kluber took the loss, falling to 10-3 this season after giving up four runs on four hits while striking out three over five innings of work. Carlos Carrasco will start game two and is 8-4 with a 3.90 ERA and 94 strikeouts this season. In his career, Carrasco is 5-7 with a 3.97 ERA and 85 strikeouts against Minnesota.

Minnesota is 3-8 in their last 11 road games and 5-2 in their last 7 games against a team with a winning record while the under is 5-2-1 in their last 8 division matchups. Cleveland is 23-8 in Carrasco’s last 31 division starts and 39-16 in their last 55 home games while the over is 14-3-1 in their last 18 home games against a right-handed starter. The under is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings between these two teams in Cleveland.

Carrasco seems to have turned the corner, after allowing 11 runs over two starts, Carrasco has thrown back-to-back shutouts, striking out 21 over 14 innings of work. On the other hand, Minnesota roughed up Cleveland’s ace in Kluber on Friday, and Romero is no slouch giving up three runs or less in seven of his eight career starts. All in all, I can’t trust Cleveland to bounce back with a major win, but I also don’t feel comfortable taking a shot with Minnesota, so I’ll side with the under here as I’m anticipating a pitchers’ duel.
