The Arizona Diamondbacks have won 11 of their last 14 games when scoring more than one run. The Mets are 8-17 in their last 25 Sunday games, 2-5 in their last 7 during game 4 of a series and 0-8 in Wheelers last 8 starts. The Diamondbacks are 7-2 in their last 9 home games, 5-1 in their last 6 vs. National League East and 7-2 in their last 9 overall. The Mets are 1-6 in the last 7 meetings in Arizona, 6-13 in the last 19 meetings and the over is 6-1-2 in the last 9 meetings in Arizona.
The New York Mets haven't won back-to-back games since May 20-21, and Wheeler has been getting rocked for much of the season, including is last start. The Arizona Diamondbacks are one of the tougher teams in baseball to beat when the offense actually shows up, so while I'm not a huge fan of Buchholz, you feel easier knowing the offense has found its groove as of late. Backing the Mets in their current form simply isn't an option, as the losses have piled up over the last month. Give me the Diamondbacks.
