Baltimore Orioles vs. Miami Marlins - 6/17/18 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Evan Habeeb-USA TODAY Sports

For the Sunday game, the Marlins will be going with RHP Trevor Richards in the start. Over his 34.2 innings and 1-3 record this year, Richards has a 4.41 ERA with 30 Ks and 17 BBs.

Miami’s Brian Anderson led the team entering the weekend with 81 hits, 39 runs and 34 RBI. On Saturday, Anderson plated a run.

Over on the Orioles’ side, they’re going with Dylan Bundy on Sunday. Across 83.2 innings and a 4-7 mark this season, Bundy has a 3.66 ERA with 95 Ks and 25 BBs.

Manny Machado is the top hitter in Baltimore with 79 hits, 32 runs, 18 homers and 50 RBI entering the weekend. In game two, Machado put up two hits and two RBI.

The Marlins are 8-20 in their last 28 in game three of a series and 0-5 in their last five Sunday games. The under is 6-1 in Miami’s last seven in game three of a series and 4-1 in their last five Sunday games.

Meanwhile, the Orioles are 1-4 in Bundy’s last five home starts and 5-1 in his last six Sunday starts. Baltimore is also 4-22 in their last 26 in game three of a series and 5-12 in Bundy’s last 17 starts.

Though Richards has had a few stinker outings this year, he hasn’t been too bad lately, with four earned across his last three starts in 15.2 innings. As for Bundy, he’s been even better, with three straight quality starts and zero earned over his last two appearances in 15.0 innings. I’m going to go with Bundy and the O’s here.
