The San Francisco Giants have won seven of their last 10 games when scoring more than two runs. The Los Angeles Dodgers look to stay hot after winning 11 of their last 13 games. The Dodgers have scored nine runs in their last three games and three or more runs in each of their last 13 games. The Los Angeles Dodgers have won 14 of their last 16 games when scoring more than one run. Matt Kemp leads the Dodgers with 73 hits and 43 RBI while Chris Taylor and Cody Bellinger have combined for 123 hits and 59 RBI. Caleb Ferguson gets the ball, and he is 0-0 with a 9.53 ERA and six strikeouts this season. This will be Ferguson’s first career game against the Giants.
The Giants are 7-1 in their last 8 Sunday games, 23-48 in their last 71 road games and 5-1 in Strattons last 6 starts. The Dodgers are 4-0 in their last 4 Sunday games, 8-0 in their last 8 during game 3 of a series and 128-63 in their last 191 home games. The Giants are 3-8 in the last 11 meetings in Los Angeles and the over is 4-1 in Strattons last 5 starts vs. Dodgers.
Stratton has been really solid as of late, which includes allowing just six runs in his last 17 innings, and the Giants have won six of the last eight games in which he's taken the mound. Ferguson has just 5.2 career innings under his belt, and he hasn't been great in that limited sample size. This is another spot where I would back the Giants, especially with the plus money, however, at some point we just have to admit this team is awful on the road and prices don't matter much when it never cashes. The Giants are burning money when playing outside of AT&T Park. So, give me the Dodgers as a fade from this falling apart Giants club.
