The St. Louis Cardinals rebounded from a disappointing loss in the series opener at Philadelphia to upend the Phillies 7-6 on Tuesday. St. Louis starter Luke Weaver was charged with four runs in five frames with Austin Gomber giving up two runs before Jordan Hicks picked up the win.

The Cardinals did their damage on eight hits and three walks with Kolten Wong and Tommy Pham both going deep and scoring twice while Matt Carpenter went 2-5 with a homer, three RBI’s and two runs followed by Jose Martinez who knocked in a pair.
Michael Wacha is scheduled to take the hill at Philadelphia on Wednesday. Wacha comes in off of a 13-5 loss at Wrigley Field with nine runs plated on seven hits and three BB over four frames.
The Philadelphia Phillies Look to get their pitching in order after getting outscored 7-6 Tuesday by visiting St. Louis.
