The Toronto Blue Jays make he long trip to the west coast to take the field with the Los Angeles Angels in Thursday MLB.
The Toronto Blue Jays are in desperate need of a prolonged hot streak and the team is hopeful Wednesday’s 5-4 victory against visiting Atlanta is the start. Toronto ace JA Happ improved to 9-3 with all four runs plated on six hits through 8.1 innings where he struck out eight.

The Blue Jays offense consisted of eight hits and five bases on balls with Kendrys Morales going 2-3 with a homer, two RBI’s and a pair of runs while Aledymys Diaz went 2-3 and drove in a run.
Toronto sends Aaron Sanchez to the bump to face the Angels for the second time in 2018. Sanchez comes off of a 6-5 win (ND) versus Washington with three runs allowed on six hits and two BB in six frames.
The Los Angeles Angels have been fading the past few weeks and need a change in momentum. Los Angeles is gunning for back to back wins after squeezing by Arizona 5-4 on Tuesday. Angels starter Felix Pena allowed a run over four frames before Blake Parker served up a two run bomb n the 9th.
The LAA banged out eight hits and walked three times with Kole Calhoun and Ian Kinsler clubbing solo homers with Kinsler scoring twice followed by Mike Trout who walked twice and ripped a two run single.
The LA Angels kick off their series against Toronto with right hander Tyler Skaggs on the mound. Skaggs has won three in a row after an 8-4 win versus Oakland where he gave up a pair of unearned runs over seven innings.
Toronto are 1-8 in their last 9 road games and Toronto are 2-9 in their last 11 Thursday games and over is 16-5 in Toronto last 21 on grass. Over is 7-0-2 in LA Angels last 9 overall and over is 7-0-2 in LA Angels last 9 on grass and LA Angels are 2-7 in their last 9 overall. Under is 7-3-3 in the last 13 meetings.
The problem in backing Toronto is the team hasn’t strung wins together and Sanchez can be a walk machine. The Angels haven’t looked good either so the lesser of two evils looks like Skaggs which means too much juice for me to bet…
