The Arizona Diamondbacks continue their road series at the Pittsburgh Pirates in a Saturday MLB bout.
The Arizona Diamondbacks have turned things around and that trend continued with a 2-1, 13 inning victory at PNC Park on Friday. Arizona starter Patrick Corbin tossed seven scoreless frames with Brad Boxberger charged with an unearned run with TJ McFarland getting the win.

The Diamondbacks banged out eight hits and walked twice with Ketel Marte recording the lone RBI while Jon Jay and Jake Lamb scored. Veteran right hander Zack Greinke draws Saturday’s start for the Diamondbacks. Greinke is shooing for back to back wins following a 7-4 win at the Angels where he gave up three runs over 6.1 frames.
The Pittsburgh Prates let one get away against the visiting Diamondbacks on Friday night. A strong performance on the mound from Ivan Nova whose eight shutout innings earned him a no decision before Edgar Santana allowed an unearned run and Tyler Glasnow gave up a run in the 13th to get the loss.
The Pirates were limited to four hits and six bases on balls with Gregory Polanco scoring an unearned run. Joe Musgrove toes the rubber Saturday against the visiting Diamondbacks. Musgrove comes off of an 8-6 defeat to Cincinnati with six runs given up on eight hits in 4.1 innings.
Over is 9-3-2 in Arizona last 14 overall and over is 9-3-2 in Arizona last 14 on grass and Arizona are 9-4 in their last 13 overall. Under is 19-6-2 in Pittsburgh last 27 Saturday games and Pittsburgh are 10-21 in their last 31 overall and Pittsburgh are 10-21 in their last 31 games on grass.
I think the Diamondbacks are the choice although this could be another tight one…
