Up at Progressive Field on Sunday, the Detroit Tigers and the Cleveland Indians will be finishing up their MLB set.
The Indians pummeled Detroit in the opener 10-0, then on Saturday Cleveland cruised to a 4-1 victory.

For Sunday’s game, the Tigers will be rolling out LHP Matthew Boyd. In his 79.1 innings and 4-5 record this year, Boyd has a 3.63 ERA with 64 Ks and 31 BBs.
Nick Castellanos leads the Tigers in hitting with 80 hits, 36 runs and 41 RBI coming into the weekend. On Saturday, Castellanos was 0-for-2 with two walks.
Over on the Indians’ side, they're going with Adam Plutko on Sunday. This year, Plutko has a 3-1 record and a 5.04 ERA in 25.0 innings with 18 Ks and eight BBs.
Francisco Lindor leads the Indians offense with his 87 hits, 58 runs and 41 RBI with 17 homers coming into the weekend. In game two, Lindor had two hits, two runs and a solo homer.
The Tigers are 6-2 in their last eight in game three of a series and 5-13 in their last 18 Sunday games. Detroit is also 4-1 in Boyd’s last five starts and 3-7 in his last 10 Sunday starts.
Meanwhile, the Indians are 22-8 in their last 30 in game three of a series and 39-18 in their last 57 versus a left-handed starter. The over is 7-2 in Cleveland’s last nine Sunday games and 11-4 in the last 15 games versus a left-handed starter.
Boyd had a couple of good starts going but faltered a bit in his last appearance in Cincinnati with five earned in 4.0 innings on six hits. As for Plutko, his last two starts have been pretty bad, with 9.2 innings and 10 earned between them. I’m not too thrilled with either pitcher, but I’m giving the Tigers a shot here. The play might be the over, though.
