The Minnesota Twins and the Chicago White Sox meet in game one of their three game set from Guaranteed Rate Field in MLB action on Tuesday.

The Minnesota Twins will look to build some momentum after snapping a three game losing streak and avoiding the sweep at the hands of Texas following a 2-0 win in the series finale on Sunday. Robbie Grossman went 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI while Bobby Wilson added an RBI of his own to make up Minnesota’s scoring in the win. Eddie Rosario went 2 for 4 and Eduardo Escobar added a double while Brian Dozier and Logan Morrison each chipped in a base hit as well in the winning effort. Jose Berrios got the win to improve to 8-5 this season after giving up just three hits while striking out 12 over seven shutout innings. Fernando Rodney struck out the side in the 9th for his 17th save of the season. Lance Lynn will start game one and is 5-5 with a 4.64 ERA and 73 strikeouts this season. In his career, Lynn is 2-0 with a 1.78 ERA and 33 strikeouts against the White Sox.

Chicago White Sox vs. Minnesota Twins - 6/26/18 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Brad Rempel-USA TODAY Sports

The Chicago White Sox will look to build some steam as well after earning a series split with Oakland, including a 10-3 romp in the series finale on Sunday. Yoan Moncada led the White Sox by going 2 for 4 with a home run, a double and six RBIs, while Daniel Palka and Yolmer Sanchez each added a solo home run as well. Avail Garcia and Jose Abreu each had an RBI while Omar Narvaez went 2 for 3 at the dish. Leury Garcia, Adam Engel and Tim Anderson each added a base hit as well as all nine White Sox batters had at least one hit in the winning effort. Carlos Rodon picked up his first win of the year after giving up two runs on seven hits while striking out three over eight innings of work. Reynaldo Lopez will start game one and is 2-5 with a 3.59 ERA and 63 strikeouts this season. In his career, Lopez is 0-0 with a 2.63 ERA and 4 strikeouts against Minnesota.

Minnesota is 4-1 in Lynn’s last 5 division starts and 4-9 in their last 13 road games while the under is 4-0 in Lynn’s last 4 starts overall. Chicago is 0-5 in Lopez’s last 5 division starts and 2-6 in their last 8 home games while the over is 6-0 in their last 6 games overall. Minnesota is 9-3 in the last 12 meetings between these two teams and 11-5 in the last 16 meetings between these two teams in Chicago.

The White Sox showed some promise to finish their series against Oakland, but that doesn’t change the fact that the White Sox are still one of the hardest teams to back in all of baseball. Minnesota has had consistency issues of their own, but the Twins have had lots of success within the division with Lynn on the mound, something that can’t be said for Lopez. I think the Twins draw first blood in Tuesday’s opener so I’ll lay the juice with Minnesota here.
