The Colorado Rockies and the San Francisco Giants meet in game one of their three game NL West division set from AT&T Park in MLB action on Tuesday night.

The Colorado Rockies will look to bounce back after failing to win their series against Miami, losing the rubber match by a final score of 8-5 on Sunday. Nolan Arenado and Trevor Story each had two RBIs, with Arenado going 1 for 4 with a home run. Gerardo Parra added a solo homer to round out Colorado’s scoring in the loss, while DJ LeMahieu, Charlie Blackmon and Chris Rusin each added a base hit as well to round out the Rockies’ scoring in defeat. German Marquez took the loss, falling to 5-8 this season after giving up six runs, five earned, on nine hits while striking out six over just 3.1 innings of work. Chad Bettis will start game one and is 5-1 with a 5.23 ERA and 63 strikeouts this season. In his career, Bettis is 3-4 with a 4.79 ERA and 38 strikeouts against San Francisco.

San Francisco Giants vs. Colorado Rockies - 6/26/18 MLB Pick, Odds, and Prediction

Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The San Francisco Giants will be looking to stay hot after winning five of their last six games and their series with San Diego, including a 3-2 win in 11 innings on Sunday in the series finale. Hunter Pence led the Giants with two RBIs coming on the walk-off double in the bottom of the 11th. Gorkys Hernandez added a solo homer as well while Andrew McCutchen and Buster Posey each had two hits including a double. Brandon Belt and Joe Panik each had a two-bagger as well while Alen Hanson added a base hit of his own to cap off San Fran’s offense in the win. Dereck Rodriguez gave up one run on four hits while striking out six over seven innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Ty Blach picked up the win to improve to 5-5 on the year. Derek Holland will start game one and is 5-7 with a 4.48 ERA and 71 strikeouts this season. In his career, Holland is 1-2 with an 8.40 ERA and 5 strikeouts against Colorado.

Colorado is 6-2 in Bettis’ last 8 road starts and 0-7 in their last 7 division matchups while the over is 19-5-2 in their last 26 games overall. San Francisco is 4-1 in Holland’s last 5 starts and 13-3 in their last 16 games against a right-handed starter while the over is 4-1 in Holland’s last 5 home starts. Colorado is 4-0 in Bettis’ last 4 starts against San Francisco.

Plus money with Colorado is tempting considering how much success Bettis has had against San Francisco. However, I also can’t trust Bettis on the mound as he has allowed five runs or more in each of his last five starts, a total of 28 runs over 26 innings. No thanks. San Francisco has feasted on right-handed pitching and have performed well with Holland on the mound. Not to mention that San Francisco plays their best ball at home. I’ll lay the juice with San Francisco here but I think the over is also worth a look.
