The Texas Rangers welcome the Chicago White Sox to town in Friday night MLB action.
The Chicago White Sox look to get back in the win column following a 2-1, 13 inning loss to Minnesota on Thursday. The Chicago offense was silent and a strong effort on the mound went for naught with starter Lucas Giolito giving up a run over 6.1 frames. Five White Sox relievers put up zeros before Hector Santiago gave up the winning run.

The Chicago offense consisted of ten hits and five bases on balls with Avisail Garcia, Yolmer Sanchez and Tim Anderson recording two hits apiece. Dylan Covey gets the starting assignment in the series opener at the Rangers. Covey did not receive a decision last time out in a 7-6 loss to Oakland with four runs scoring over four frames.
The Texas Rangers have been one of the hottest teams n the game over the past several weeks. Texas has won two of three after upending San Diego 5-2 on Wednesday behind Mike Minor who tossed a one hit shutout over seven innings to get the win. Chris Martin gave up both runs in the 8th before Keone Kela nailed down the win for the Rangers and earned his 20th save with a 1-2-3 9th.
The Rangers pounded out 12 hits and walked twice with Ryan Rua clubbing a solo homer while Adrian Beltre drove in a run and scored followed by Jurickson Profar who had two hits and an RBI.
Veteran right hander Yovani Galardo makes his third consecutive start for the Rangers Friday. Gallardo defeated Minnesota 9-6 last time out with four runs plated in 5.1 innings.
Over is 7-1 in Chicago White Sox last 8 overall and over is 7-1 in Chicago White Sox last 8 on grass and over is 10-2-1 in Chicago White Sox last 13 Friday games. Texas are 9-2 in their last 11 overall and Texas are 9-2 in their last 11 games on grass and under is 6-2-1 in Texas last 9 overall. Over is 9-3-1 in the last 13 meetings in Texas.
I don’t think the White Sox can be overlooked but I am not sure what Gallardo is bringing to the table so something on the over…
