The Los Angeles Dodgers look for a bounce back win after losing three of their last four games. The Dodgers have scored 13 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in six of their last eight games. The Los Angeles Dodgers have won 10 of their last 12 games when scoring more than one run. Matt Kemp leads the Dodgers with 76 hits and 47 RBI while Chris Taylor and Cody Bellinger have combined for 143 hits and 70 RBI. Kenta Maeda gets the ball, and he is 5-4 with a 3.44 ERA and 80 strikeouts this season. Maeda is 5-2 with a 2.11 ERA and 48 strikeouts in his career against the Rockies.
The Rockies are 0-6 in their last 6 Saturday games, 3-9 in Marquezs last 12 starts with 5 days of rest and 1-4 in Marquezs last 5 starts. The Dodgers are 5-2 in their last 7 Saturday games, 13-5 in Maedas last 18 home starts and 5-1 in Maedas last 6 starts. The Rockies are 11-27 in the last 38 meetings in Los Angeles, 1-5 in the last 6 meetings and the over is 3-1-1 in the last 5 meetings.
Usually I love to fade the Dodgers in spots like this, as they're a heavy public team and have been burning money for much of the season as big favorites. However, Marquez is simply an awful pitcher who has allowed four or more runs in each of his last five starts and is allowing a .284 batting average this season. In 25.1 innings in the month of June, Marquez has an ERA of 8.53 with eight homers allowed and 11 walks. I don't care who is on the other side, give me the Dodgers as a fade from the Rockies and their starting pitcher.
