The Minnesota Twins have struggled the past few weeks and those struggles continued Saturday in a 14-9 loss at the Cubs that saddled the team with defeats in seven of nine. Minnesota starter Adalberto Meija was charged with four runs over four frames with Addison Reed and Trevor Hildenberger giving up a combined nine runs in one inning.

The Twins racked up eleven hits and walked five times with Eddie Rosario going 2-3 with a homer and two RBI’s while Joe Mauer knocked in three followed by Ehire Adrianza who had two hits, two RBI’s and scored.
Lance Lynn toes the rubber in Sunday’s series ending game at Wrigley Field. Lynn looks to bounce back from an 8-4 loss at the White Sox where he was charged with five runs through five frames.
The Chicago Cubs turned to their offense to outscore Minnesota to win for the 4th time in five contests. Chicago starter Tyler Chatwood was charged with seven runs through five frames while Brian Duensing allowed two runs in an inning.
The Cubs amassed 20 hits and walked seven times with Ben Zobrist driving in three while Albert Almora Jr., Jason Heyward and Javier Baez each drove in two and combined for five runs followed by David Bote knocked in a run and scored three times.
