For the Sunday game, the Red Sox will be bringing out RHP David Price. In his 93.1 innings and 9-5 record this year, Price has a 3.66 ERA with 89 Ks and 33 BBs.

JD Martinez leads the Sox in hitting this year and brought with him into the weekend 97 hits, 57 runs, 25 homers and 64 RBI. On Saturday, Martinez had three hits, three RBI and a run.

Over on the Yankees’ side, they’re rolling with ace Luis Severino on Sunday. Across 111.2 innings and a 12-2 record, Severino has a 2.10 ERA with 132 Ks and 26 BBs.

Leading the way for the Yankees hitters this year is Giancarlo Stanton with 80 hits, 47 runs, 19 homers and 46 RBI entering the weekend. On Saturday, Stanton came up with New York’s lone hit through the first eight innings.

The Red Sox are 11-3 in their last 14 Sunday games and 47-23 in their last 70 in game three of a series. Boston is also 4-0 in Price’s last four starts with four days’ rest and 8-1 in his last nine starts.

Meanwhile, the Yankees are 11-5 in their last 16 in game three of a series and 23-5 in his last 28 home starts. New York is 4-1 in Severino’s last five Sunday starts and 37-14 in his last 51 starts.

Price has had some trouble with the Yankees before, but he’s been good lately with five straight quality starts. As for Severino, he’s given up more than two earned just once in his last seven starts and has been the most reliable thing on the Yankees’ pitching staff this season. This should be another fun matchup, but with Severino on the mound at home I have to go Yanks here.
