The Mets offense did their damage on six hits and six free passes with Asdrubal Cabrera cracking his 14th homer and scoring twice while Todd Frazer went 2-3 with a BB, an RBI and three runs.

New York turns to Zack Wheeler as Tuesday’s starter at the Blue Jays who he faces for the second time. Wheeler did not receive a decision last time out in a 5-3 loss to Pittsburgh with seven shutout innings.

The Toronto Blue Jays are hoping to get back in the win column following a 3-2, ten inning defeat on Monday afternoon. Ryan Boruki’s second career start saw the rookie allow two runs and strike out eight over seven innings for a ND with Seunghwan Oh giving up a 10th inning run to absorb the loss.

The Blue Jays offense managed five hits and four bases on balls with Teoscar Hernandez and Justin Smoak driving in runs while Curtis Granderson and Devon Travis scored.

The Blue Jays have named Marco Estrada as Tuesday’s starter against the visiting Mets. Estrada comes in off of a 7-6 loss at Houston (ND) with four runs (three earned) given up over five frames.

Over is 11-3 in NY Mets last 14 on astroturf and NY Mets are 5-16 in their last 21 interleague games and NY Mets are 8-21 in their last 29 Tuesday games. Toronto are 10-2 in their last 12 home games and are 6-2 in their last 8 games on astroturf and  are 1-7 in Estrada’s last 8 Tuesday starts.

In all honesty I don’t see an edge to exploit for either side and I’m sitting this one out but I’ll throw this out there…
