The Texas Rangers continue their series at the Detroit Tigers in Friday MLB action.
The Texas Rangers success versus Detroit continued with a 7-5 victory at the Tigers on Thursday. Texas starter Yovani Gallardo gave up four runs (three earned) on eight hits and a BB over 5.1 frames to get the win.

The Rangers banged out eight hits and walked twice with Joey Gallo slugging a two run bomb while Ronald Guzman went 2-4 with a homer and a pair of RBI’s followed by Jurickson Profar who posted two hits and scored twice.
Veteran Bartolo Colon toes the rubber versus Detroit for the second time in 2018. Colon comes in off of a 13-4 victory versus the White Sox with three runs plated over five innings.
The Detroit Tigers struggled against the Rangers once again on Thursday with Texas taking an early lead and keeping it. Detroit starter Matthew Boyd was charged with seven runs (six earned) on seven hits through four innings to absorb the loss.
The Tigers pounded out 12 hits and walked once with Niko Goodrum going deep and scoring twice while John Hicks and Ronny Rodriguez each drove in a run and scored.
Jordan Zimmermann looks to keep his hot work on the mound going when he gets the Friday start versus Detroit. Zimmermann defeated Toronto 9-1 on the road last time out with a run allowed in seven frames.

The key is whether Zimmerman pitches well or reverts to his prior form because a decent effort on the mound and I believe Detroit gets this one…
