The New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles collide in game one of a twin bill in Monday MLB action.
The New York Yankees are playing well and need to as the team is locked in a season long battle with the Red Sox for the American League East lead. New York can not afford a letdown of any length and have avoided them thus far.

The Yankees offense has been potent with 5.16 runs scored with nearly 150 homers hit which is the best in the game. The Yanks pitching has been every bit as good with a 3.45 team ERA which is ranked second so this team can win in several ways.
Veteran left hander CC Sabathia draws the start in game one of a twin bill at Baltimore Monday. Sabathia has won back to back outings after beating Atlanta 6-2 with two runs allowed on five hits and three walks over six innings of work.
The Baltimore Orioles have been struggling since day one and there hasn’t been a let up in sight. Baltimore has had no luck at the plate or the mound and are battling Kansas City for the worse record in baseball.
The Orioles are averaging just 3.59 runs on a .227 BA which is at the bottom of the offensive rankings. The O’s haven’t stood out on the mound either with a 4.83 ERA so look for the team to try and dump some players at the deadline.
Rooke Yefry Ramirez makes his third start of 2018 and first against the Yankees Monday. Ramirez has gone 0-2 in three appearances with a 2.51 ERA over 14 1 innings pitched.
Under is 13-3 in NY Yankees last 16 road games and under is 24-6 in NY Yankees last 30 overall and under is 20-6-1 in NY Yankees last 27 on grass. Baltimore are 1-9 in their last 10 Monday games and under is 7-1-1 in Baltimore last 9 overall and under is 7-1-1 in Baltimore last 9 on grass. Over is 24-4 in the last 28 meetings and NY Yankees are 3-10 in Sabathia’s last 13 starts vs. Baltimore.
The Orioles have had some success against Sabathia so perhaps something on the over with Ramirez still an unknown…
