For the Friday game, the Jays will be bringing out lefty Ryan Borucki. In his 20.0 innings and 0-1 mark this year, Borucki has a 2.25 ERA with 16 Ks and six walks.

The Blue Jays’ top hitter this year is Yangervis Solarte, who came into this set on 86 hits, 42 runs, 16 homers and 48 RBI. On Thursday, Kendrys Morales hit a solo homer.

Over on the Sox’ side, they’re going with Rick Porcello on Friday. Across his 118.0 innings and 11-3 mark this year, Porcello has a 3.58 ERA with 113 Ks and 27 BBs.

Boston’s offensive leader is JD Martinez, with 112 hits, 68 runs, 28 homers and 79 RBI coming into this series. In game one, Martinez had one hit.

The Jays are 4-1 in their last five Friday games and 1-5 in their last six in game two of a series. The under is 5-1 in the Jays’ last six Friday games and 8-3 in the last 11 in game two of a series.

Meanwhile, the Red Sox are 5-0 in their last five in game two of a series and 4-0 in Porcello’s last four starts. Boston is 6-2 in Porcello’s last eight home starts and 21-7 in his last 28 starts in game two of a series.

Borucki doesn’t have a huge sample size this year, but he does have quality starts in all three of is outings and has given up just four earned in that span. Porcello has been great all year and has surrendered five earned over his last two starts in 13.0 innings. I want to pick the Red Sox here, but if you’re a Borucki believer it’s not a bad spot to value-pick the Jays.
