The Los Angeles Dodgers look for another victory after winning eight of their last 11 games. The Dodgers have scored eight runs in their last three games and four or more runs in six of their last 11 games. The Los Angeles Dodgers have won nine of their last 12 games when scoring more than one run. Matt Kemp leads the Dodgers with 90 hits and 60 RBI while Chris Taylor and Cody Bellinger have combined for 166 hits and 82 RBI. Walker Buehler gets the ball, and he is 4-2 with a 3.44 ERA and 54 strikeouts this season. This will be Buehler’s first career game against the Angels.
The Angels are 6-0 in their last 6 Friday games, 4-13 in their last 17 road games and 1-9 in their last 10 road games vs. a team with a winning record. The Dodgers are 13-3 in their last 16 during game 1 of a series, 20-8 in their last 28 interleague games and 5-2 in their last 7 Friday games. The Angels are 2-6 in the last 8 meetings in Los Angeles and the under is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings.
I would give the Angels a shot here with the heavy plus money if they weren't so bad on the road. Just wins in four of their last 17 tries on the road and going up against one of the hotter and more consistent teams over the last two months doesn't do it for me. With that said, Buehler has allowed 10 runs in his last 11.1 innings, so he's not a pitcher I'm trying to lay this much juice with. There's going to be better options on the board for Friday night, but if forced to pick, I'd back the Dodgers simply because the Angels aren't good on the road. At all.
