The Toronto Blue Jays and the Boston Red Sox meet in the finale of their four game AL East division set from Fenway Park in MLB action on Sunday.

The Toronto Blue Jays will look to bounce back and salvage a series split after dropping game three on Saturday in 10 innings by a final score of 6-2. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and Aledmys Diaz each had an RBI to make up Toronto’s scoring in the loss, with Gurriel Jr. going 3 for 5 at the plate. Kendrys Morales went 2 for 3 while Dwight Smith Jr. added a double and Randal Grichuk chipped in a base hit as well. Sam Gaviglio gave up one run on four hits over 3.1 innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Tyler Clippard received his 5th blown save of the season while Chris Rowley gave up the walk-off grand slam to fall to 0-1 this season. Marcus Stroman will start game four and is 2-6 with a 5.90 ERA and 48 strikeouts this season. In his career, Stroman is 4-2 with a 4.19 ERA and 50 strikeouts against Boston.

The Boston Red Sox will look to win their set after taking game three on Saturday. Xander Bogaerts led the BoSox with four RBIs coming on the walk-off grand slam in the 10th inning, while going 2 for 5 with a double as well. J.D. Martinez added his major-league leading 29th home run with a solo shot, while Jackie Bradley Jr. added a double and an RBI to round out Boston’s scoring in the win. Mookie Betts went 3 for 4 while Brock Holt, Eduardo Nunez, Brock Holt and Tzu-Wei Lin each added a base hit as well in the victory. Eduardo Rodriguez threw 5.1 shutout innings, allowing just four hits while striking out five, not factoring in the decision. Craig Kimberly picked up the win to improve to 2-1 this season. Brian Johnson will start game four and is 1-2 with a 4.23 ERA and 37 strikeouts this season. In his career, Johnson is 1-1 with a 9.00 ERA and 10 strikeouts against Toronto.

Toronto is 6-15 in their last 21 road games and 4-1 in Stroman’s last 5 starts against a team with a winning record while the under is 6-0 in Stroman’s last 6 starts overall. Boston is 8-0 in Johnson’s last 8 starts and 35-16 in their last 51 home games while the over is 4-1 in their last 5 division matchups. The over is 5-1 in the last 6 meetings between these two teams.

Boston has all of the momentum after walking off the Jays on Saturday. However, I just don’t trust Johnson even with the Boston lineup batting behind him. Stroman has been prone to blow-ups since coming off of the DL, but on the road, Stroman has allowed two runs or less in each of his last three starts away from home since coming off of the DL, including just one run in his last two road starts. I’ll take a stab with the more proven pitcher and try my luck with Toronto and the plus money.
