German Marquez makes his second straight start against the Diamondbacks on Friday. Marquez defeated Arizona 19-2 with both runs given upon five hits and a pair of BB through six innings pitched.
The Arizona Diamondbacks saw a chance to enter the All Star break with a three game winning streak end in a 5-1 loss at Atlanta. Arizona starter Patrick Corbin was charged with four runs on six hits and a walk over six innings to fall to 6-4.
The Diamondbacks offense consisted of five hits and a trio of bases on balls with Jon Jay clubbing his second long ball of 2018 in the 8th inning.
Arizona has not named a starter but I suspect it will be Corbin so please check back.
