Thursday MLB brings us to PNC Park where the Pittsburgh Prates host the New York Mets.
The New York Mets have won consecutive games following a 6-4 victory versus visiting San Diego on Wednesday. New York starter Corey Oswalt gave up two runs over five frames to get the win with Tim Peterson allowing a pair of runs in 1.1 innings.

The Mets did their damage on five hits and three walks with Jose Bautista slamming a two run bomb and scoring twice while Amed Rosario knocked in a pair followed by Phillip Evans drove in a run and scored.
Steven Matz draws Thursday’s start at Pittsburgh looking to snap a three game skid. Matz comes off of a 7-6 loss at the Yankees with five runs scoring on nine hits through five frames.
The red hot Pittsburgh Pirates cooled off for a day in a 4-0 loss at Cleveland on Wednesday that put an end to an eleven game winning streak. Pittsburgh starter Jameson Taillon allowed a pair of runs through seven innings while Kyle Crick and Felipe Vazquez gave up a run each.
The Pirates offense consisted of three hits and a pair of bases on balls with Adam Frazier, Jordy Mercer and Jacob Stallings recording hits.
Pittsburgh has named Nick Kingham as Thursday’s starter against the visiting Mets. Kingham has won three straight after a 6-2 win at Cincinnati with both runs plated over 6.1 innings.
NY Mets are 7-19 in their last 26 Thursday games and over is 21-8-4 in NY Mets last 33 Thursday games and over is 7-3-1 in NY Mets last 11 road games. Pittsburgh are 13-3 in their last 16 overall and Pittsburgh are 13-3 in their last 16 games on grass and under is 7-3 in Pittsburgh last 10 home games. The Pirates finally had their winning streak stopped but I think there is a bounce back…
