The Los Angeles Angels look for another victory here to build on their three-game winning streak. The Angels have scored 27 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in four of their last six games. The Los Angeles Angels have won 11 straight games when scoring more than three runs. Mike Trout leads the Angels with 111 hits and 58 RBI while Andrelton Simmons and Justin Upton have combined for 204 hits and 104 RBI. Jaime Barria gets the ball, and he is 5-7 with a 3.80 ERA and 54 strikeouts this season. Barria is 0-3 with a 4.11 ERA and eight strikeouts in his career against the Mariners.
The Mariners are 12-5 in their last 17 Saturday games, 0-4 in their last 4 road games and 2-5 in Hernandezs last 7 starts. The Angels are 4-9 in their last 13 Saturday games, 1-4 in their last 5 during game 2 of a series and 0-7 in Barrias last 7 starts. The Mariners are 1-4 in Hernandezs last 5 road starts vs. Angels, 2-6 in Hernandezs last 8 starts vs. Angels and the over is 7-3-1 in the last 11 meetings.
The Seattle Mariners simply aren't getting the same results in close games that they got all second half, as they're on the wrong side more than not as of late. Hernandez is a shel of himself, as he's allowed three or more runs in seven of his last 10 starts and is giving up a .263 batting average on the season. Barria has had his ups and downs as well, and the Angels haven't won with him on the mound since June 1, but he's been much more conssitent and trustworthy than Hernandez, he just doesn't have the lineup to help him out nightly. Either way, fading the Marienrs and the washed up ace has to be the play here.
