The Toronto Blue Jays go on the road to oppose the Oakland Athletics in Monday MLB.
The Toronto Blue Jays looked dead in the water at the White Sox on Sunday until a five run 9th keyed a 7-4 victory. Toronto starter Ryan Borucki gave up a pair of runs with Luis Santos and Ryan Tepera giving up a run each on solo homers.

The Blue Jays logged ten hits and a walk with Teoscar Hernandez going solo while Aledmys Diaz went deep and scored twice. Lourdes Gurriel Jr. gave Toronto three hits and two RBI’s while Brandon Drury drove in two and scored twice.
The Blue Jays send Marco Estrada to the hill for a road start at Oakland on Monday. Estrada did not get a decision in an 8-6 win versus he Mets with two runs plated on two hits and a walk in 1/3 of an inning.
The Oakland Athletics have been one of the more dangerous teams in the game but their offense was quiet in getting swept at Colorado following a 3-2 defeat on Sunday. Oakland starter Frankie Montas fell to 5-3 with all three runs plated on eight hits and two BB over 4.1 innings before three relievers did not allow a base runner through 3.2 frames.
The Athletics offense consisted of five hits and a base on balls with Matt Chapman and Khris Davis clubbing solo homers.
Veteran Edwin Jackson makes his 7th start of 2018 for the Athletics on Monday. Jackson comes in off of a 6-5 win at the Rangers where he was charged with five runs on seven hits and two BB over 4.1 frames.
Over is 20-8 in Toronto last 28 on grass and Toronto are 8-3 in Estrada’s last 11 Monday starts and Toronto are 3-7 in Estrada’s last 10 starts. Oakland are 8-2 in their last 10 home games and are 27-9 in their last 36 overall and are 27-9 in their last 36 games on grass. Toronto are 4-9 in the last 13 meetings in Oakland.
I’m hesitant to back the Athletics because the bats haven’t looked good at all and Jackson is not a good option on the mound so take this for what it is worth...
