The Orioles pounded out 15 hits and walked twice with Trey Mancini going 3-5 with a homer, two RBI’s and a pair of runs while Renato Nunez had three hits and knocked in two with a run followed by Tim Beckham who drove in two.
The Orioles are sending Andrew Cashner to the hill for Thursday’s start at the Rangers. Cashner defeated Tampa Bay 15-5 last out with a pair of runs given up on five hits and three BB in six frames.
The surging Texas Rangers saw their four game winning streak end in a 6-0 defeat at the Diamondbacks on Tuesday. Texas starter Bartolo Colon was charged with five runs on seven hits and a pair of walks over five frames to fall to 5-10.
The Rangers offense consisted of four hits and a base on balls with all four hits being singles. A surging Yovani Gallardo draws Thursday’s start against visiting Baltimore. Gallardo has not allowed a run in two outings with five hits and eight BB allowed over 11.1 frames.
Baltimore are 14-53 in their last 67 road games and are 15-41 in their last 56 overall and are 34-80 in their last 114 games on grass. Over is 9-4 in Texas last 13 overall and over is 9-4 in Texas last 13 on grass and over is 6-1-1 in Gallardo’s last 8 starts overall.
